The Veerse Meer (Lake Veere) is connected to the Canal through Walcheren, which leads to Middelburg and Vlissingen. Via a lock in the Zandkreekdam, boat owners can also access the Oosterschelde. There is always more than enough to experience and enjoy on and alongside the 22 km long Veerse Meer. Picturesque and attractive villages such as Veere, Kamperland and Kortgene are located nearby, and various areas of natural beauty, campsites, innumerable islands and lots of opportunities for swimming near the shallow lake banks all combine to give visitors more than their money's worth.
